Cat Cuddler Pet Beds

If you’re looking for a pet bed for your cat, or even a small dog, look no further than the cat cuddler pet bed.  These beds are pure comfort. I really wish they made one big enough for humans.  They are made of an orthopedic grade foam structure, which provides for cushion and, I’ll say it again, pure comfort.

The foam reminds me of memory foam mattresses that you find on sleep number beds, but with sides to make it even more cozy.  There are a variety of colors to choose from, so you can easily match your decor.  Your cat will absolutely love curling up in one of these!

Cats Want Comfort Too!

My last post was about Giving your Dog the Gift of Comfort this Christmas.  I didn’t mean to leave out our feline friends.  As we all know, cats are the kings and queens of comfort.  With their long cat naps, they are pros at staying warm and cozy.  They will curl up in a thick plush blanket, on your pillow, the coziest chair in the house, wherever they can find a soft, warm, quiet place to snooze.

This Christmas, they too can get the gift of comfort.  Cat cuddler cat beds are specifically made for cats.  Since cats usually (and I stress usually) curl up to sleep, the cat cuddler cat beds hug their bodies for warmth and security.  They are made of an orthopedic grade foam structure for cushion and comfort.  The covers, which are machine washable, are made of Poly and cotton twill for added comfort.  Your cat will be in heaven, in one of these cat cuddler cat beds!

Help Out an Animal Shelter

According to the ASPCA pet statistics, approximately 5 million to 7 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year.  Caring for animals is an expensive business. It also requires a great deal of time, space, and involvement, and these things are not always available for every animal.

Many Animal Shelters are usually privately funded and can do with all the help they can get from the local community. If there is an Animal Shelter in your area, you can consider making a donation or, if they allow it, volunteering your time.  Check with the shelter to see what items they are in need of most.

For the most part, most shelters need:

  • Financial Support- as stated above, it’s a very expensive business
  • Litter and litter boxes
  • Break-away cat collars and dog collars
  • Food-Many of the animals dropped off or found are malnourished and in need of a good meal.
  • Flea treatments
  • Toys and Treats- the best way to socialize rescue animals is through play.
  • Cleaning supplies (Bleach, towels, trash bags, newspapers, plastic bags, laundry detergent, etc)
  • Pet houses, pet beds, and pet cages and crates- If an animal needs to be confined due to an illness then a pet cage or crate is necessary. Pet carriers are also high in demand.
  • stand alone scratching posts
  • and of course, people willing to adopt

Anything you can do is a big help.  New shelters are going up every day, but they’re filling up immediately and need all the help they can get.

Cozy Pet Beds for Christmas

Give your pets somewhere warm and comfortable to relax this holiday season.  Since cats and dogs sleep up to 14 hours a day, they will appreciate their own cozy pet bed.  Sure, they would prefer to sleep right next to you in your bed, but this is not always feasible or practical. Your pet needs a spot to retreat, and relax, somewhere soft and comfortable to call his own.

Pet beds come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and colors.  Once you’ve chosen a size, think about how your pet sleeps.  Does he curl up?  Sprawl out?  This can help you decide what shape of pet bed to buy.   Then, decide which room you want to put the bed in.  Choose a color to match your decour.  Smaller dogs can even use a cat cuddler!

Make this Christmas memorable for your pets, and get them their own cozy pet bed!

A Good Night Sleep for Everyone

People spend hours upon hours finding the right bed for them. They have to consider the firmness of the mattress, the material of the frame, the overall look of the bed, and so many other factors and considerations. People know, after all, that they rely on their mattresses for a good night’s sleep, so it’s actually quite crucial to get the right combination of aesthetics, comfort, and support.

But with all the time that we spend thinking about our own beds, we usually just throw down a pillow on the floor and call it good for our pets. But our pets also deserve the most comfortable pet bed possible. Especially if you have an elderly dog or cat, keeping them comfortable becomes all the more important. The right pet bed can even offer comfort for their ailments such as arthritis or otherwise stiff joints.

Organize Your Pet’s Space

Springtime is usually time to reorganize and clean up your home.  It’s also the perfect time to organize all of your pet’s toys, food, walking supplies, and any other necessities around the house.  A little re-decorating always helps too.  Here are some quick easy tips to organize your pet’s belongings.

  • Since food and water bowls are on display all the time, use bowls that work with the colors in the room and coordinate with a placemat.
  • Dog and cat toys usually end up scattered all over the backyard and in the house.  Try an indoor plastic bin with a lid to keep them all in 1 place.  You can store balls and outside toys in a drawstring bag and hang the bag, next to their leash, on a hook near the door for easy access.
  • Keep your furniture hair-free by getting your pets a pet bed.  There are many different sizes and shapes to fit in any room.  You can even match your decor.
  • Place an oversized ridged mat beneath your cats litterbox to help trap loose litter.

These simple “Spring Cleaning” ideas will help spruce up your home and de-clutter small spaces.

Help-Our Cat Meows Constantly!

Our cat meows 90% of the time she’s in the house.  She’s a mix breed, and I’m beginning to wonder if maybe she has some Siamese in her.  They are usually the “talkative” ones!  A little attention normally quiets her down, but we have a 20 month old daughter, so she doesn’t get all of the attention she craves (which would be 24/7!)

If you have a “talkative” cat, and can’t give them all of the attention they crave so much, I’ve found that a comfortable bed seems to help.  She usually heads to our basement to sleep.  It’s pretty cold down there, usually about 60 degrees.  We bought her a cat cuddler, to keep her warm, and put it in her favorite resting spot downstairs.  It took her a little while to get used to it, but now she uses it every time she’s down there.  We’ve noticed a definite decline in her meowing.  She seems to look forward to the comfort of her new pet bed.

Pet Beds

Dogs and cats like cozy comfortable places to lie down. So why not get them their own pet bed?

Take some time to do some research into pet beds. They range in price, but the one that costs more is usually better constructed for the long run, easier to keep clean and the best for your pets comfort. If your pet is older, or has any hip or joint issues, you may want to look into an orthopedic bed.

Getting Kitty Used to a New Bed

Cats can be quite finnicky.  From the food you feed them, to the litter in their litterbox, they aren’t always thrilled when you throw something new into their routine.  This is especially true with new furniture.
Beds should be comfortable places where your pet can relax and sleep.  Once you get your cat to use his new pet bed (if you happen to have a finnicky cat), they are sure to love it.  Here are some tips to get your cat to warm up to this new, foreign object you brought home:
~ Try to put the cat bed somewhere where they tend to nap most often. This can be complicated if your bed happens to be their nap spot.  In this case, put the bed on your bed, where they normally lay.  Give them a few days to get used to sleeping in it.  Then try moving it elsewhere.
~ Put 1 or 2 of their favorite toys in the bed.
~ Put some catnip in the bed.  Once they roll around in the catnip for a while, the bed will have their scent and this should make them feel right at home.
~ If you wash the cover, or buy a new one, keep in mind that they may not go back to sleeping in it right away.  In this case, you may have to start over with the toys and catnip to get them to sleep in it again.
