Unless you’re blessed with the perfect pet, chances are you have trouble keeping your dogs off the furniture. Dogs are attracted to the scent of their human masters, and if you sit or even sleep on a piece of furniture, whether it’s a chair, couch, or futon, the dog too will be attracted to it. While you can make attempts to keep dogs off the furniture through scolding, often this attempt fails for those times when you’re not present in the same room. Dogs will just hop back up on the furniture while you sleep or while you’re not around. While it might not be possible to keep your dogs off the furniture all together, you might be able to deter some of their tendencies with a dog couch.
Dog couches are designed just like those we humans use, except for their size which tends to be a bit smaller to accommodate the dog. But even owners of English Mastiffs and Great Danes will be delighted to know that dog couches come in all shapes and sizes. When your dog has their own couch, you just might prevent them from jumping on your furniture, and thus have a lot less hair on your clothes and far fewer dirty paw prints!
