When shopping for your dog, don’t overlook a dog collar. They’re not just for hooking a leash or harness to for walks.
If you have to register your dog in the town/county/city you live in, their registration tags should be put on their collar. This way, if your dog ever gets loose, the registration tag will get them back to you quickly and safely. Rabies tags should also be put on their collar. This assures anyone who may come in contact with your dog that their rabies vaccination is up to date. If you prefer, you can also put a name/address tag on your dog’s collar. If you have an adventurous pup, that likes to wander off quite often, this would be beneficial to you. It’s quicker for whomever may find your dog to read the name/address tag, then having to have a town official look up your registration number.
There are many different dog collars to choose from. Leather dog collars, jeweled dog collars, LED dog collars, pleather dog collars, etc. Just keep in mind that some collars are just for for decorative use only and are not intended to take the place of your regular leash collar.
